Petal: St Bernard

Petal is has been REHOMED.

Petal touched many hearts when her story was featured in the national press recently with Boris, another St. Bernard in our care. She was rescued from an awful existence, having been left for years in a garden, so she came in to us cowered and frightened, and painfully thin with a matted coat. She has blossomed in our care and we are delighted that she is now reaching her optimum weight, and her health, coat and confidence has improved enough that we can start looking for her forever home.

Petal is a sensitive and sweet girl; she is quiet and passive in the home and has been learning how to enjoy life as a companion dog with her foster family. She still requires patience and confidence building outside the home and in new surroundings/circumstances but her amazing transformation, during the weeks she has been in our care, is truly remarkable. She is clean in the house and is learning to walk on a lead – although she still prefers her home comforts – she enjoys company and a cuddle on the sofa.

Petal adores company so we are looking for a home where someone is around for most of the day, although she is happy to be left for a few hours. Petal is good with children but she deserves a quieter home without young children and she could happily live with another large, preferably male, dog or/and cats.

Petal is neutered, vaccinated, microchipped, flea and worm treated.
