Twiggy: Chinese Crested Dog

Twiggy didn’t have a good start and was completely traumatised on arrival in Rescue, but it wasn’t long before an amazing little character began to shine as soon as she realised she was safe. She now soon bonds with her new friends and then shows her true loving personality, however she doesn’t react well to strangers entering the house but this is easily managed by telling her to go to her bed, there she will feel safe and will then come and make friends in her own time. She is a young dog and will more confidence building will only continue to improve.

Twiggy is well behaved and she walks nicely on lead, although she needs confidence building on busier walks, she has good recall off lead in a secure area. She is well mannered with other friendly dogs, and is used to being with cats and other animals. She is very loyal and will follow you everywhere and is quiet and clean in the house. She demands constant attention so will not suit a home where she is left for hours at a time. Twiggy will be best in a child free home.

Twiggy is a hairless dog and has very little hair, so she will need a jumper for walking on colder days, and a t-shirt and sun protection on hot days. Like most Crested’s Twiggy adores the company of her humans and other dogs, so we are looking for a home where someone is around for most of the day, but she is fine to be left for a few hours in the company of another dog.

Twiggy is approximately 2 years old, neutered, vaccinated, microchipped, flea and worm treated and is being fostered near Dover in Kent.
