CPR received an urgent call in early September regarding a 6 week old puppy that had been born with birth defects, so we rushed to her aid. A slightly larger breed than is usual for us – Dogue De Bordeaux Winnie has only three legs, abnormalities to her rib cage, a malformed jaw…and the sweetest personality you could ever wish for!
After a thorough going over by our vets we are assured Winnie is perfectly comfortable at the moment, but the future is currently uncertain for Winnie and she will be staying in our care under our permanent foster scheme.
Winnie doesn’t realise how special she is, and CPR will do everything we can to ensure that she has the best life, for however long that may be. She is currently undergoing hydrotherapy to help her gain strength, and we will keep you updated on her progress.
