Jilly: Lhasa Apso

Jilly has now been REHOMED.

Jilly is a lovely little lady but, whilst she is extremely sociable with other dogs and always wanting to engage in play, she is more nervous around people and often seeks to retreat to a quiet spot away from humans. Her confidence is continually growing, and she is now accepting of being stroked for a short time and this calm and slow approach is something that will need to be continued in her new home.

We are looking for a calm, patient and understanding home who will give her time to gain confidence with at least one other resident dog for company. A quiet home is required that will understand that she can be easily overwhelmed and is not yet at the stage where she can deal with boisterous and energetic interactions with humans.

Jilly would benefit from learning some basic obedience commands, which will also help build a rapport with her new family. Lead training is being taken slowly at the moment as she is still apprehensive about the wider world, and she seems to be more comfortable when there is another dog at her side so with consistantancy and postive reinforcement she will soon learn to enjoy her new environment.

2 year old Jilly is speyed, vaccinated, microchipped, flea and worm treated.

If you are interested in offering Jilly a home, please complete our online Adoption Form.
