Pops: Jack Russell Terrier

Pops has been REHOMED.

Pops is a typical bouncy Terrier, she has a wonderful sweet temperament and is very playful and eager to please, she knows her basic commands and would benefit from formal training, which will give her clever brain a good work out too. She is house and crate trained and she is very happy on walks and loves exploring although she is bouncy on the lead, and is currently undergoing training to improve her pulling. Pops can be shy when she first meets new people or dogs, but after careful introductions, she soon relaxes and loves to play and cuddle up.

We are looking to rehome her with an energetic family with children of secondary school age, and where there is someone around for most of the day to give Pops the exercise, training and focus that she needs, and where there is another resident dog for her to play with. Pops is very loving and will need someone at home most of the time as she does like to be close to human company and will follow you everywhere, taking any opportunity for a cuddle. She prefers routine as she needs to know you are coming back when leaving her to avoid separation anxiety, and in return you will expect a very enthusiastic welcome home.

Pops has been mixing very well with all types of dogs in her foster home and interacts nicely. She is ok with a very dog savvy cat – she will chase but backs off quickly when the cat puts her in her place, however she is not good with chickens or small furries.

18 month old Pops is neutered, vaccinated, microchipped, flea and worm treated. She is being fostered in near Deal, Kent.
