Maya: Parti Poodle

Maya has now been RE-HOMED.

This is the lovely Maya, she is an ex breeding lemon & white Parti Poodle with a beautiful temperament and is looking for a family to call her own where she can have lots of attention and another dog to play with. Her foster family have been working hard with her to get her used to lead walking and she now loves her daily walks, she does attach herself very strongly to her favourite person and her favourite pastime is snuggles on the sofa with them. Initially she would show occasional jealous tendencies but is now learning to share nicely and having another dog around certainly helps her.

Maya can be rather playful so an energetic home is a must, she loves everyone she meets and is very confident for an ex breeding dog. It has been an absolute delight to see her blossom in a home environment.

Maya has her basic commands and is clean and well behaved in the home with only a few indoor accidents when she was learning to live in a home. We are looking for a family environment with a resident dog and where there is usually someone at home or someone who can spend most of their time with her, perhaps a home worker as Maya can be left for short periods but definitely prefers company. Maya is great with people and can be homed with children of 8 years + although smaller visitors would be fine, she has also shown no interest in cats so could live with dog savvy cats.

Health: During her spay a suspicious mammary lump was found and removed but the results from the laboratory show that the lump was benign and completely removed. During her time with us Maya has had one short episode of odd behaviour where she was salivating and vague for a couple of minutes, she was checked over by the vet and there was no obvious cause, and she doesn’t have a history of fits or similar behaviour in her previous home however this must be noted in case of any future occurrence.

Maya is 4 years old, neutered, vaccinated, microchipped, flea and worm treated. As a non moulting breed, please take into consideration regular grooming costs before applying to adopt Maya.

If you are interested in offering Maya a home, please complete our online Adoption Form.
