Rehoming Policy

Cinque Ports Rescue (CPR) take in and provide care, shelter and sanctuary for stray, neglected, abandoned, abused and unwanted dogs in the SE Kent area. Our aim is to provide foster homes for the reception, care and medical treatment of such animals prior to rehoming.

Before rehoming all CPR’s dogs are flea treated, wormed, neutered or speyed (unless against veterinary advice), vaccinated and micro-chipped.

CPR do require a minimum rehoming donation of £320 which is used for veterinary treatment for unwanted dogs still in our care and for our future homeless dogs.

If you are one of the few who believe a rescue dog should be free to a good home, then please consider the cost to a Rescue run solely by volunteers, who fundraise to ensure that every dog has been neutered/spayed, microchipped, flea & worm treated and any extra medical treatment they may require.

Many dogs are surrendered to the Rescue requiring more extensive veterinary treatment, but due to our generous and energetic fundraisers we are able to help those dogs that have no voice of their own, and they enable us to require only a low adoption donation.

We seek only the very best loving homes, we will take all circumstances into consideration as all our dogs are individuals and have different requirements.

Any home offers will be subject to a home visit and vetting without exclusion.

Please note that no house calls to Cinque Ports Rescue, or any of our registered foster homes, are to be made without prior appointment with CPR.

Currently we have these dogs looking for a loving forever home
