Simba: Cocker Spaniel

Simba is not your typical mad spaniel, he has a very calm demeanour and enjoys a quieter pace of life and cuddles on the sofa, although will still have bursts of energy and loves a good run in the field!

Handed in from a home where he hadn’t been well socialised had left him Simba very timid and fearful of the outside world but once in foster in a multi-dog home, he started to come out of his shell and took his cues from the other confident dogs, which helped him immensely. He has come on leaps and bounds with the support of the pack and with lots of reassurance from his foster family. Simba is still a little nervous in the home with new people but warms up very quickly when he sees the confidence of the other dogs.

A home with outdoor space is compulsory for Simba, as he loves being outdoors in the garden, and can often be found lying in the sunshine. Simba will need at least one other friendly and confident resident dog in his new home and can live with secondary school-age children. Simba is clean and quiet in the home and, after extensive dental work whilst in our care, he now loves to chew, so he has plenty of dog-friendly things, but will run off with a sock out of the washing machine if he gets a chance!

Simba is 5 years old, neutered, vaccinated, microchipped, flea and worm-treated. He will require regular grooming so please bear these costs in mind before submitting an application.

If you are interested in offering Simba a home, please complete our online Adoption Form.

We are experiencing a high volume of applications for our dogs currently and are unable to respond to any applications that don’t fit our rehoming criteria for Simba.

All Cinque Ports Rescue dogs are neutered (or subject to a neutering agreement if not of appropriate age), microchipped, core vaccinated and up to date with parasite treatment.  All have lifetime support and full backup, and an adoption pack including 5 kg of Natural Instinct food and nutrition information. Please note that we are currently only rehoming locally to the South East Kent area.

All home offers will be subject to vetting and a home visit, and an adoption agreement and donation of £320 is required.

Cinque Ports Rescue is run purely by volunteers so please be aware that your application may not be responded to immediately. Thank you for your patience.
