Fable: Chinese Crested Dog

Fable has been RE-HOMED.

Fable is quite possibly the most stunning and largest Chinese Crested Dog we have had through the Rescue, weighing in at 11kg, he really is magnificent with a beautiful temperament to match.

He is well mannered and playful with other friendly dogs, and is good with school age children. He really is a very loyal chap, he is clean in the house, very affectionate, and will make a fantastic calm companion dog bonding very firmly with his owner. Fable walks well on a lead, he was initially barky to other dogs, but his foster home have worked wonders with him and he is now more confident on lead.

Fable is a hairy hairless dog and, if kept groomed as a hairless, he may need a jumper for walking on colder days, and a t-shirt on hot days if his coat is clipped. Like most Cresteds, Fable adores the company of his humans and other dogs, so we are looking for a home where someone is around for most of the day, but he is fine to be left for a few hours in the company of another dog. Fable does have a heart murmur, which is common in small breeds, and causes him no problems but will need checking at his annual vet visits. Fable has not been cat tested.

If you are unfamiliar with the breed please research the Chinese Crested then, if you are still interested in offering 7 year old Fable a home, please complete our Adoption Form. Please give us as much information as possible on your application.
