Prue: Cocker Spaniel

Prue has been REHOMED

Prue is a lively confident female spaniel with an absolute heart of gold, a real sweetheart she is very willing to please and adores attention.

Slightly overweight on arrival after having been bred in her previous home she has been learning to enjoy her country and beach walks, losing weight and gaining muscle and we have discovered how active she actually is, and how much she enjoys it so she will need a home where she will get regular exercise, about 2 miles a day, and a large garden to run around in at home.  She walks well on the lead but still pulls a little but is responding well to positive training methods, however her recall is practically non-existent so she is currently being exercised on a long line whilst this is worked on, which gives her plenty of freedom to run around and burn off some energy.

Prue has her basic commands and is clean and well behaved in the home and we are looking for a family environment where there is usually someone at home or someone who can spend most of their time with her, perhaps a home worker. Prue is great with people, other dogs and can be homed with children of 8 years + as she is likely to knock over a smaller child with her exuberance. She is starting to show her playful side and could live with another friendly resident dog.

Prue is 6 years old, neutered, vaccinated, microchipped, flea and worm treated.

If you are interested in offering Prue a home, please complete our online Adoption Form.

We are currently experiencing a high volume of applications for our dogs and are unable to respond to any applications that don’t fit our rehoming criteria for Prue.

All Cinque Ports Rescue dogs are neutered (or subject to a neutering agreement if not of appropriate age), microchipped, core vaccinated and up to date with parasite treatment. They all have lifetime support and full backup, 4 weeks free insurance and an adoption pack including 5 kg of Natural Instinct food and nutrition information. We currently only re-home within the CT postcode areas unless otherwise stated in our homing adverts.

All home offers will be subject to vetting and a home visit, and an adoption agreement and donation of £220 is required.
