Rayna: Miniature Dachshund

Rayna has now been REHOMED.

This lovely little lady is Rayna. She has adapted very well to living in a home after living in a kennel where she was originally destined to become a breeding dog but Rayna had a caesarean with her first litter and has now come into our care to find family to call her own, where she can continue to gain confidence at her own pace. Rayna is a calm quiet dog, she is very shy meeting new people and will take some time to trust and bond, but once bonded she is a loyal companion.

It has been an absolute delight to see Rayna blossom in a home environment and gain confidence, she has developed a strong bond with her foster parents and has become very affectionate, and has started to play with toys although, in true Daxie style, no squeaky toy is safe!

Rayna is now fully lead trained, and enjoys car journeys and daily long walks in her foster home. Once exercised she will then happily lounge on the sofa, or in the sunshine all day long. Rayna is almost fully house trained, but in a new environment she will need taking outside regularly for the toilet. Rayna loves spending time outside so a secure garden is a must as it is her favourite place to be on a sunny day.

We are looking for a child free home with a calm environment, preferably with retirees or someone who works from home, although she is happy to be left for up to 4 hours if exercised beforehand, and could be homed with a resident dog of similar size. Rayna is very nervous of children so a child free environment is crucial for her well being and future confidence.
