Teddy has now been REHOMED.
This handsome lad is Teddy, he adores his walks (he’s great on the lead) and will play in the garden all day if he could! He is looking for a new home as he has always seen himself as a top dog but his anxiety has increased in the home since his family had a baby recently and it has made him very uncomfortable. He takes a while to become comfortable with new people but since being in our care we have seen a huge improvement in his anxiety and mood as he loves routine, long walks and clear boundaries.
An adult only calm and confident home, one that would set clear boundaries, give him a good routine and regular exercise would suit Teddy. He is absolutely fine to be left for up to 4 hours, is clean in the home and although used to living with another bigger dog he would suit living as an only dog, however he cannot be homed with children, smaller dogs, cats or small furry animals and a home with a garden is a must. He can become anxious and barky with visitors to the home but this is already getting better with training and this will need to be continued in his new home. Affection is on his own terms, he doesn’t like to be forced into a situation and will grumble, but he is a fantastic dog when mutual respect is established.
Teddy is 4 years old, neutered, vaccinated, microchipped worm and flea treated and is being fostered in Deal Kent. As a non moulting breed, please take into consideration regular grooming costs before applying to adopt Teddy.

All Cinque Ports Rescue dogs are neutered (or subject to a neutering agreement if not of appropriate age), microchipped, core vaccinated and up to date with parasite treatment. Please note that we are currently only rehoming locally to the South East Kent area. All have life time support and full backup, 4 weeks free insurance and an adoption pack including 5 kg of Natural Instinct food and nutrition information.
All home offers will be subject to vetting and a home visit, and an adoption agreement and donation are required.
