Basil: Yorkshire Terrier Crossbreed

Basil has been REHOMED.

Basil was an unclaimed stray and came into our care after completing his statutory 7 days. It is totally surprising to us that he was unclaimed as he has been the perfect gentleman since arriving.

A total sweetheart, Basil enjoys the company of other similar sized dogs and people of all ages and he does love older children. Although he loves everyone he still prefers a quieter household as he will withdraw when there is too much hustle and bustle. He is fantastic on the lead and great to walk although his recall off-lead is zero, so secure fields or a long line is a must for a run. He currently burns off plenty of energy playing with other dogs and toys in his foster home, and he does love a nap, in his bed or a comfy lap.

Basil is much smaller than he looks in his photos so, although he can be homed with children, due to his size and his unknown background we will only home him with children over 8 years old. He can be homed with a similar sized or smaller dog (he is wary of big dogs) or equally could live as an only dog as long as he gets plenty of stimulation and attention. He is clean and quiet in the home and is so very lovely all of us here at Cinque Ports Rescue have fallen in love with him!

If you are interested in offering 7 year old Basil a home please complete our online Adoption Form.

All Cinque Ports Rescue dogs are neutered (or subject to a neutering agreement if not of appropriate age), microchipped, core vaccinated and up to date with parasite treatment.  All have life time support and full backup, 4 weeks free insurance and an adoption pack including 5 kg of Natural Instinct food and nutrition information.
