PEDRO: Miniature Pinscher cross – ADOPTED

Pedro is an affectionate, fun-loving boy who’s ready to find his forever home. He’s great with children, loves the company of other dogs, and will happily snuggle up to anyone, whether that’s on your lap, your shoulder, or just pressed up against you. However, this little chap has boundless energy and is looking for an energetic home where his exercise needs will be met.

Pedro’s Best Qualities:

• Brilliant with kids and good with other dogs but prefers dogs of his own size (older kids are best as he is quite bouncy!).

• Extremely affectionate, a true cuddle bug!

• Loves to curl up with his dog friends (especially his female pal Libby).

• Crate-trained and sees his crate as his safe, happy place.

• Enjoys antler chews and tasty treats (very food-motivated).

• Can be left alone for reasonable periods without fuss.

• Fine with both men and women, but needs a few minutes on first meet.

• No food or human aggression.

• Loves his walks, gets excited as soon as he sees the harness.

• Makes everything fun, even cleaning becomes a game!

• Bath time is manageable (though he may try a cheeky escape!).

Things to keep in mind:

Pedro is still young at heart and full of beans, so he’ll need a home that can match his energy and help guide him with consistent training.

• Has lots of energy and needs plenty of exercise and stimulation. He will need a garden and at least two hours exercise , in addition to playtime, every day. Pedro would make an ideal running companion.

• Can get over-excited during play and may irritate calmer dogs.

• An expert escape artist – needs secure, high fencing with no gaps.

• Tends to pull and chase cars on walks.

• Can be vocal at times, particularly when excited.

• Can get a little mouthy when wound up, but crate time helps him settle.

• Loves to scavenge, so kitchen counters need to be clear.

• Nervous of sudden/loud noises, likely due to his past, he may hide or cower if startled.

Pedro is a big-hearted, high-energy companion who will thrive in a loving, active home that can give him both the affection, exercise and guidance he needs. With the right match, he’ll be the most loyal, entertaining, and cuddly friend you could ever wish for.
